Dodger Boys Beaten by Darlington in Non-conference Action 66-57

By John Dalton The Dodgeville Boys’ basketball team took an early lead in the first half and had a seven-point halftime lead 32-25, but the host Darlington Redbirds changed the narrative in the second half and outscored the Dodgers 41-25 to defeat the Dodgers 66-57. Bryce Crubaugh-Lockard scored the Dodger's first seven points and an early 7-4 lead.

Pointers fall from unbeaten ranks

By John Dalton Despite being down by 19 points in the second half Friday night, the Mineral Point boys’ basketball team showed a lot of grit and determination coming back and taking the lead with thirty seconds left after a Jaxson Wendhausen 3-point basket 77-76. But Southwestern guard Everett Droessler hit a corner 3-point bucket to take back the lead 79-77.  With 13 seconds left, the Pointers were unable to get a good look at a shot as they lost their first game of the season.

Argyle/Pecatonica wins big over Highland

Argyle/Pecatonica’s girls basketball team rolled into Highland Thursday for a Six River game on a two game losing streak. Coach Jen Wellnitz-Krogman and crew decided enough is enough. So, they went out to claim a 97-32 win over the Cardinals, never looking back from the first basket of the game to the last. Kylie Butler led the co-op squad with 32 points. Brooke Wellnitz put in 29, Loretta Tisch 19 and Averi Steiner 11.
