George Martin Laufenberg

George Martin Laufenberg, age 83, of Dodgeville, died peacefully on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at home surrounded by loved ones.  George was born to Ray and Mary Laufenberg (McGill) on November 12, 1941. George married the love of his life, Pat Ruth Sliter, on September 30, 1961 and they were blessed with 63 wonderful years of marriage. Together they had three sons: Kenneth Martin, Kevin Allen (called to the Lord on July 4, 1968), and Allen George.

William (Bill) R. Martin

William R. Martin (Bill), age 72, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday March 22, 2025 at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau.  He suffered a heart attack, leaving behind a void that will be deeply felt. Bill was born on December 9, 1952 in Dodgeville to William R. (Ralph) Martin and Sally (Smart) Martin.  Bill graduated from Dodgeville High School in 1971.

Jennifer Miller Correia

Jennifer Miller Correia, 52, of Spring Green passed away unexpectedly November 26, 2024, at the UW Hospital. She was born December 26, 1971, daughter of Larry & Ann (McCarthy) Miller. Jennifer graduated from Highland High School in 1990. She was united in marriage to Manuel Correia on November 10, 1998. She was employed by UW Hospital & Clinics as a Medical Coding Specialist. Jennifer enjoyed the outdoors, deer hunting, turkey hunting & fishing.

Bruce F. Kovars

Bruce F. Kovars, 63, passed away on March 13th, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Bruce was born on March 7th, 1962, in Dodgeville, WI, the son of the late John Kovars and Barbara (Nechkash) Klingbeil. On May 4th, 1996, he married Carol Dowling in Muscoda, WI. At a very early age Bruce began dismantling and reassembling anything on wheels, which started a lifelong passion for fixing things. He was happiest when his hands were greasy, and he was turning a wrench.

Christopher L. Frame

Christopher L. Frame, 52, of Burnett, Wisconsin passed away at his home on Monday, March 10, 2025 due to health complications. Christopher was born on July 26, 1972 the son of Donald and Barbara (Anstice) Frame in Prairie Du Sac, Wisconsin. He was a 1990 graduate of Dodgeville High School. On June 30, 2001, Chris was united in marriage with the love of his life Anne M. Kieslich in Dodgeville, Wisconsin.

Dorothy A. Baker

Dorothy A. Baker, age 92, of Arena passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.  She was born on January 28, 1933 in Arena the daughter of Arthur and Esther (Combs) Roberts.   Dorothy was married on February 17, 1951 to Lester M. Baker. Dorothy was a member of the Arena Bible Church. She enjoyed playing the piano, organ, shopping, tending to her plants and running around with her sisters and sister-in-law.

Audrey Legler

Audrey Legler (nee Butteris) passed away peacefully March 4, 2025, at the age of 82 years. She was born in June of 1942, to the late Fred and Melissa (Dietzman) Butteris. She was preceded in death by her dear husband Bill (Willis), cherished sons, Robert and Paul Legler, and siblings, Adrian and Avis Butteris and Alyce Stapleton.

LaVerne Faber

LaVerne Faber, age 93 of Dubuque, IA, passed away on March 2, 2025.  His absence leaves a space that can never be properly filled.  He will always be remembered for his love, laughter, musical skills, and uncanny ability to make or repair just about anything.  Born to Joseph and Marie as a middle child among 12 siblings, Vern met the love of his life, Donna, at a dance in 1954.  Little did he know at the time that a 62-year romance was ahead.

Alice C. Ryan

Alice C. Ryan, age 101 died peacefully Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at her home in Madison. She was born on December 30, 1923, in Stoughton, the daughter of Andrew and Ida (Dahlen) Fossen. She was raised on the family farm during the Depression. After graduating from high school, Alice lived for a short time in Colorado. She returned to Wisconsin and in 1946 completed her nursing degree at Milwaukee County General Hospital School of Nursing.

Patsy Louise Heberlein

Patsy Louise Heberlein, age 65, passed away on Friday March 7, 2025, at home as a result of medical issues and MS. Patsy was born November 9, 1959, in Lancaster to Walter and Doris (Bartels) Keene.  She married Peter Heberlein on May 8, 1982, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Fennimore.  They farmed near Fennimore and Preston. Patsy graduated from Potosi High School in 1977 and started working at Fritz Insurance where she spent 9 years.

Kathryn Marie (Bickford) Fitzsimmons

Kathryn Marie (Bickford) Fitzsimmons, 94, formally of Mineral Point, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Kathryn was born on August 29, 1930, in Livingston to Bert and Laura (Draves) Bickford. She was a 1948 graduate of Monfort High School. She was a devoted Christian and a longtime member of the Point Baptist Church. Kathryn was united in marriage to Edwin Donald "Don" Fitzsimmons Jr. on July 22, 1951.

Randall Vern Prochaska passed away February 27th, 2025 at Dove Healthcare Nursing Home in Fennimore WI. Randy was born on May 29, 1960 to Lavern & Lorraine Prochaska of Fennimore, WI where he grew up spending time with his siblings fixing cars, cracking jokes, and loving each other unconditionally.

Bonnie Josephine Bennett

Bonnie Josephine Bennett, age 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Lilac Springs Assisted Living in Lake Mills, Wisconsin.  Bonnie was born on June 4, 1930, in Arena Wisconsin.  She was the youngest of three children born to Edward and Evalyn (Lampman) Bennett.  As a child in the 1930’s, Bonnie experienced a typical rural upbringing helping on the farm and attending a one-room grade school.  In the late 1940’s Bonnie moved into the village of Arena with her parents.

Joanna Fecht Hying

Joanna Fecht Hying, age 97, of Mineral Point, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. She was born on March 18, 1927, in Highland, Wisconsin, the youngest of six children born to Harry and Katherine (Munz) Fecht. At 5 and 14 years old, Joanna lost her father and mother, respectively, and was cared for by her older sister Magdalene. She graduated from Highland High School in 1944, where she was active in band and as a cheerleader.
