Patricia C. Cole

Patricia C. Cole, age 75, of Dodgeville, WI passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Patty was born on December 5, 1949 to Iva Loree Munson and Vance Hundley in Dumas, TX. On May 20, 1972 she married Gary W. Cole in Richland, WA. Together Patty and Gary reared three children: Jemaleddin Sasha David Cole, Colin Michael Cole, and Kjirsten Brenna Cole. They are blessed with four grandchildren: Sierra Hogan, Jared Cole, Jacob Cole, and Liliana Cole.

Jodi Marie Whitish

Jodi Marie Whitish, age 47, of Mazomanie, formerly of Ridgeway, died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at her home. She was born December 29, 1977 at St. Mary's Hospital to Ann (Johnson) Brunker. She attended many schools throughout the states and in Germany as a result of being an army brat. She claimed her “grades were slipping because she spent so much time trying to fit in.” She ended up graduating from Dodgeville High School in 1996.

Norman Leroy Johnson Jr

Norman Leroy Johnson Jr., age 73, of De Forest, WI, passed away peacefully following a long battle with cancer on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Aspen Place in Viroqua. Norman was born on March 14, 1951, in Dodgeville, WI to the late Norman Leroy Johnson Sr. and Dorothy (Butteris) Johnson. He married Karen Copus and they had three children and later divorced. He then married the love of his life, Shari Dahl and they had three children. Norman worked at U.W.

Ronald Jay Luecke

Ronald Jay Luecke, age 85 - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ron, who peacefully passed away on the evening of Monday, February 3, 2025, while surrounded by family at Upland Hills Health. After a decade long battle with cancer and other ailments, through which he endured with the strength of a Viking warrior and the tenacity of a cowboy, he is finally able to rest in peace. Ron was born in 1939 in Chicago Heights, Illinois to parents Virginia and Russell Luecke.

Susan Neldeen Vincent

Susan Neldeen Vincent (nee Richards) of Cordova, Illinois, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Her family was at her side. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Gibson-Bode Funeral Home, Port Byron. Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, February 10th at the First Baptist Church, Cordova, IL. A luncheon will immediately follow.

Shirley Jean Wallace

Shirley Jean Wallace, 86, of Mineral Point, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025, with her loving family by her side. She was born on November 3, 1938, to Mildred and Earl Holm.  Shirley lived her joyful young life in Madison, Wisconsin with her parents, aunts, uncle and friends nearby.  Shirley attended Madison West High School where she met the love of her life, Ronald ("Ron") Wallace.  Shirley and Ron were married on July 20, 1957.

Norbert James Day

Norbert James Day, age 86 of rural Hollandale died early Thursday morning, January 30, 2025 at Upland Hills Nursing and Rehab in Dodgeville.  He was born on December 26, 1938 in Dodgeville to Leo Joseph and Mae Elizabeth (Kosharek) Day.  He grew up with his parents and brother and sister in the rural Dodgeville area on the family farm.  He attended rural school, and then graduated from the Dodgeville High School in 1956.

Mark Charles Duffey

Mark Charles Duffey, age 66, of Barneveld, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at his home. He was born on February 15, 1958 in Dodgeville, son of the late Edward and Betty (Ihus) Duffey. He graduated from Barneveld High School in 1976 and worked with his parents on the family farm. In 1981, he married Annette Williams at Barneveld Lutheran Church and they had two daughters, Liz and Katie. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard.

Joyce Elaine Buckingham

Joyce Elaine Buckingham, age 99, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 3, 2025 in Mineral Point, WI, surrounded by her loving family. Born August 3, 1925, in Livingston, WI, Joyce was the daughter of Allie and Mae Millard. While Joyce was an only child, she was never alone because she grew up alongside her Millard cousins.  She graduated from Livingston High School in 1943 and went on to earn a business degree from Madison College.

Patrick Eli Fuller

Patrick Eli Fuller, age 70, of Ridgeway, our beloved husband and father passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025 after a courageous battle with MDS. Our hearts are broken and left with a hole that will never be filled. Patrick was born on February 24, 1954 to Sam and Irene Fuller in Rossford, Ohio.  He was the eldest of seven children.  Pat chose to attend St. Francis de Sales High School, for which he paid his own tuition and graduated in 1972.

Lisa M. Hocking

Lisa M. Hocking, age 51, of Highland, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville. She was born on January 8, 1974 in Monroe, Wisconsin, the daughter of Kim Ann Titley and Maximo Anibal Soliman. She married Todd Alan Hocking on March 22, 2002 in Darlington, Wisconsin. Lisa was a survivor of childhood leukemia cancer and graduated from West Grant High School in 1993.

Gilbert U. “Gib” Graber

Gilbert U. “Gib” Graber, age 98, of Mineral Point, died peacefully on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Greenway Manor in Spring Green. Gib was born to Urban and Blanche (Biddick) Graber on August 23, 1926. Gib married the love of his life, Audrey Jewell, on July 26, 1952.  Together they had six children. Gib was a WW II veteran, serving 18 months in the US Navy, despite his inability to swim. After returning from war, he hitchhiked from Chicago to Mineral Point.

Shirley A. Nelson

Shirley A. Nelson, age 89 of Ridgeway, peacefully passed away on January 17, 2025, at Mineral Point Heath Services. Shirley was born on December 3, 1935, to George and Ruby (Buckingham) Tempest in Dodgeville. Shirley's love of her life was Norbert "Bubby" Nelson. They married in the early 1950s and together raised four children. After Bubby's passing on Easter Sunday 1976, Shirley spent her time focusing on her kids and friends.

Robert “Rob” C. Buck

Robert “Rob” C. Buck, 66, of Rochester, MN, formerly of Dodgeville, WI, passed away on January 24, 2025. He was born on October 5, 1958; the son of Robert J. Buck and Sandra R. (Gossard) (Buck) Gisslen. Rob graduated from Dodgeville High School in 1977, where he lettered in football, basketball, and track as well as being a member of the chess club. He continued to play chess throughout his life and was an avid sports fan, just like his dad.

David Fitzsimmons

David Fitzsimmons, age 72, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and dedicated dairy farmer, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. He was a lifelong resident of Mineral Point, where he was known for his hard work, kindness, and unwavering love for his family and community. David married his high school sweetheart Cheryl Symons on June 7th, 1975. They had three beautiful children, Amber, Kyle and Luke.

Lora R. Liddicoat-Springer

Lora R. Liddicoat-Springer, age 46, of Dodgeville / Linden died unexpectedly doing what she loved on Friday, January 17, 2025 in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan from injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident. She was born on April 9, 1978 at St. Mary’s hospital in Madison, WI to Dean and Margery (Heins) Liddicoat. She attended Cobb Grade School through 8th grade and continued onto Iowa-Grant High School where she graduated with the class of 1996.
