Thu Dinh Phan

Thu Dinh Phan, age 75, of Dodgeville died on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at his home. Thu was born on July 26, 1949 in Vietnam, a son of Hoa and Lan Phan. On September 9, 1971, he married Le Thi Le in Vietnam. He served in the South Vietnam Army from 1968 – 1975. He cooperated with the U.S. Army to fight the North Vietnam Army during the Vietnam War. In February of 1992, he and his wife and four children moved to Dodgeville and lived with Father Henry Kalscheur for 2 years.

Robert Frederick Potter

Robert Frederick Potter, 93, of Mineral Point, WI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at New Glarus Nursing Home in New Glarus, WI. A Celebration of Life Service will was held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 18th at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI. Burial with military honors accorded was held in the Graceland Cemetery in Mineral Point, WI. Family and friends called on Saturday, January 18th from 10:00 a.m.

Coletta Catherine (Laufenberg) Munz

Coletta Catherine (Laufenberg) Munz, age 97, of Avoca/Highland passed away on January 17, 2025 at CrestRidge Assisted Living in Dodgeville. She was born on a farm in rural Highland on October 13, 1927 to Edward C. and Catherine (Wolfe) Laufenberg. She attended St. Anthony's Catholic School in Highland and was a life-long member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and a member of the Altar Society. She met Felix Munz at a dance in 1944 when they were doing a circle dance.

Mary A. Kosharek

Mary A. Kosharek, age 99, of Highland, died on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Dove Healthcare in Fennimore.  Mary was born December 3, 1926, in Castle Rock Township to William and Elizabeth (Elliott) Grimm and was a graduate of Highland High School. She married Melvin Kosharek on June 25, 1947.  They were united in a 'triple wedding' that consisted of three Grimms and three Koshareks.

Robert W. (Bob) Gunther, Sr.

Robert W. (Bob) Gunther, Sr., age 75, of Linden, WI passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025 following a short illness. Bob was born in Milwaukee, WI on October 19, 1949 to Gilbert W. and Cleo E. (Anderson) Gunther who raised their family in Pecatonica, IL. Bob left high school early to enlist in the Army and served in Vietnam, earning his GED following his time of service to his country. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and North American Trappers Association.

Shirley Mae (Fritz) Brindley

Shirley Mae (Fritz) Brindley, age 86, of Barneveld passes away on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville. Shirley was born on February 11, 1938 in Boscobel, WI, a daughter of Arnold L. and Viola R. (Mayne) Fritz. She graduated from Boscobel High School. Shirley worked at Barneveld Schools for over 20 years in the kitchen and Barneveld Water & Sewer Dept.

Robert “Bob” M. Helmich

Robert “Bob” M. Helmich, age 91, passed away peacefully on Monday January 13, 2025, at Upland Hills Nursing & Rehab Center in Dodgeville. He was born on January 10, 1934; the son of Wallace and Mamie (Belk) Helmich. After high school, Bob enlisted in the army. He was eventually stationed in Munich Germany where he was a Master Sergeant and paratrooper in the airborne division. While in Germany, Bob married his first wife and mother of his three children, Mary Potter.

Roselyn Prochaska Callin Voigts

Roselyn Prochaska Callin Voigts, age 98, of Dodgeville passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025 at CrestRidge Memory Care Dodgeville. She was born June 29, 1926 in Wingville Township, Montfort WI, the daughter of Edward F. and Mayme (Nechvatal) Prochaska. She married Robert Callin on June 5, 1948 in St. John Nepumoc Catholic Church at Castle Rock Ridge in Grant County. Bob Callin passed away in 1991.

Raymond C. Paynter

Raymond C. Paynter, age 94, of Mineral Point, WI passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025, at the Mineral Point Health Services. He was born on October 4, 1930 in Waldwick WI to Roy and Antoinette Paynter. He was a loving husband and father, devoted grandfather, and a dedicated worker who touched the lives of everyone around him. He met his future wife Carol Hawksworth in 1961 they were married on August 11, 1962 in Winneconne, Wisconsin. They settled in Mineral Point and never left.

Joseph "Joe" Michael Davey

Joseph "Joe" Michael Davey, 63, passed peacefully on January 11th, 2025 at Meriter Hospital in Madison after battling lung complications due to Covid/Pneumonia for almost 2 months.

Per Joe's wishes, he will be cremated, and no service will be held. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.
